FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Is permanent makeup the same as microblading?

Microblading and permanent makeup both enhance facial features but differ in technique. Microblading involves slicing the skin with a blade to create fine hair-like strokes, which can cause scar tissue. Permanent makeup, on the other hand, uses a machine to implant pigment at a consistent speed and depth, creating a safer wound. This method can achieve results that look as natural as microblading.

  • How long does the color last?

That depends on the skin type, skin quality, oil content and maturity of the skin. It also depends on the color of shade you used, on average it lasts approximately from 1-5 years on lips and about 3-5 years on brows and eyeliners.

  • What is DPI?

DPI is when a special device is used to implant the micro pigments at a safe depth of 0.07mm into the epidermal layer of the skin.

  • Is this tattooing?

No. The principal is similar but the instruments, purity of color, depth of penetration and techniques are all different. In DPI you receive a soft natural look that was designed for you. Tattooing leaves you with a harsh painted on look that can fade to unflattering colors as time goes on.

  • Does it hurt?

I use the best in topical freezings so it is pain free. Some clients may feel a slight tenderness near the end of the procedure.

  • Can I drive after?

Yes. There is no down time after the procedures. Eyebrows are just 50% darker then they will be when they heal, they may have a small amount of redness and there is no swelling, eyeliners may become a bit swollen just along the line but nothing serious, it is a good idea to bring sunglasses just in case your eyes feel sensitive after the procedure, lip colors also have a small amount of swelling and, just like the brows, are 50% darker then they will be. It takes about 4-7 days to be completely healed from all of the procedures.
